
The Belize Game Changers Awards
The Belize Game Changers Awards celebrate individuals and organizations across Belize who are creating real, positive change — from climate action to digital innovation, health and education, sustainable transport, and human rights.
Organized by the Delegation of the European Union in Belize under the #GameChangers campaign and Global Gateway initiative, this national call recognizes community leaders, young changemakers, grassroots organizations, and innovators improving lives and strengthening local resilience.
Nominees must be:
* Aged 18–35
* A Belizean citizen or legal resident
* Creating tangible impact in one of the award categories (see below)
Award Categories
You can nominate someone in the following five areas:
Health – expanding access to healthcare, mental health, public awareness or community well-being.
Climate & Energy – advancing sustainability, nature-based solutions or renewable energy in Belize.
Digital – using technology to improve access to services, civic participation or economic opportunity.
Transport – making transport safer, cleaner, or more inclusive through local innovation.
Education & Human Rights – promoting inclusive learning, youth empowerment or social justice.
Submissions are open now through February 15, 2026!
Nominations must include:
✅ A short video (≤90 seconds, ≤25MB)
✅ A brief written description (max 300 words)
✅ One photo of the nominee
✅ Consent from the nominee to share their story

Note: Social media posts using the campaign hashtag are welcome, but only form submissions count as official entries.
